Not Quite An "Imminent Mushroom Cloud" But....

As this period of economic and especially monetary consequences continues, and as the culpability for the next round of consequences threatens to become obvious, expect more stories like this to magically pop up. Remember, 2008 featured Bear Stearns, a plunging dollar, $150 oil and, we know now, this. More soon.

So glad that man is not in the White House.....oops....VP residence at One Observatory Circle.

I know he has convinced himself that he and he alone was right and all others that disagreed were not only wrong but had it in for America after all he alludes to it every damn time he opens his mouth but for me he just sounds crazy.

ALOHA!!

Yes ... of course ... military intervention!!! Why didn't I think of that "under the radar" idea? I mean that whole strategy did wonders for the Roman and British Empires! Yeah ... more military! I suppose Cheney has a large shareholding at LMT!

I forget when was it that Obama said he'd have the troops home when he was campaigning for President? One thing is for sure, Obama has spent more on Defense Vendors than Bush did.

Does it matter which of the two party political monopoly says what? Don't actions speak louder than words when it comes to campaign promises?

Um... isn't that what the whole "New American Century (PNAC)" is about.

I don't think this is really anything new. During the 2000 election, and Cheney appointed himself VP candidate, and Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Perle... names were coming up, this was talked about a lot. Granted our main stream press is a little journalistically challenged. After 9/11, Time Magazine and Mother Jones did fascinating articles on the role of Cheney steamrolling Powell and pulling the Bush strings.
