The Toll Mounts....

Over the weekend at least nine U.S. troops died in Iraq. During the past seven days, 29 troops were killed. We can assume many others lost arms, legs, feet, hands, and eyes.

At the current rate, we'll pass 4,000 KIA's by the end of this year, and over 5,000 dead by the time Bush leaves office. Remember, these numbers are considered politically "acceptable" by the White House and its supporters -- including almost all the candidates seeking the Republican nomination -- and not an impetus for anything other than political and military holding patterns until the election in 2008.

I have always thought that this so called holding pattern was just a maneuver to put off any real decisions on getting out of Iraq until the next administration was in office.

But now, I am coming to thinks that Bush and Co. are simply clueless as to what to do next. They don't have a coherent thought amongst them.

Luckily for the country, this will surely lead to a Dem in the White House, whoever that is.

Having lost a brother to the equally insane Vietnam war, I grieve with and for those families. The magic number obviously is higher, in the case of the original quagmire that Chimpy O'Fuckstick is SO trying to emulate, It was more than 56fucking THOUSAND.
Hard slog. Unless you lose somebody...then you realize first hand that war sucks and the FUCKERS LIED.
And so it happens again.

Since most of the soldiers come from the lower classes, why should Bush give a damn that they come home in bodybags or worse?

A President that opposes a wage increase of 3% for soldiers and $40 a month for widows REALLY cares for the military.

Any veteran or serving military that still supports the GOP and Bush deserves every short stick he is handed to them.

I am fed up with the worship of the military for the GOP and "support the troops".
Why should I as they seem to love the sadistic treatment they receive fron the "commander in chief".
