Can you think of anything positive that the Bush administration has done for the BENEFIT of the AVERAGE american?
I find this question so intriguing because it reveals that (1) keeping the EVILDOERS at bay no longer seems to count as doing something of benefit for the average American because (2) EVILDOERS seem much more abstract when your local interstate bridge has just collapsed... your ARM keeps adjusting upwards... your beloved pooch died from eating Made In China dog food... the powerlines on your street literally burst into flames when the temp hits 95... your HMO denies claim payment because a "prudent person" would have known that recent-onset blurred vision is a sign of late-stage Lyme disease, which was not listed as a preexisting condition on your enrollment application 10 years ago... and the IRS is demanding taxes upfront from the guy who caught Bonds' homerun ball even if he doesn't sell it.

Why the surprise?
I have a question:
Can you think of anything positive that the Bush administration has done for the BENEFIT of the AVERAGE american?
All the tax cuts have been for the rich or near rich. A tax cut of less than $250 does not really count.
All the changes in law, regulation have been in favor of the corporations.
So please would love an input from the cunning realist and all readers.
"anything positive that the Bush administration has done for the BENEFIT of the AVERAGE american"
He takes long vacations. When he is out of D.C. he isn't screwing anything up.
"When he is out of D.C. he isn't screwing anything up."
That's why we have Dick Cheney.

When will our disgraced executives commit suicide like they do in China.
Ahh. I long for the days of FREE markets.
As a federal worker I now get 6 per pay period (2 weeks) - roughly 19.5 days for one year. That's considered good for most Americans.
