The Bullsh*t Moose Party

"She's hunted moose. That's pretty impressive to the people in Massachusetts."

-Mitt Romney, without any hint of humor, explaining to Andrea Mitchell why Sarah Palin appeals to Massachusetts voters.

Did the Moose have a gun too? Otherwise, I'm not impressed.

Although I guess she gets a few points if she managed not to shoot any of her hunting companions in the face.

As a resident of Massachusetts, I can say I'm distinctly unimpressed.

And was Mitt in New England SO infrequently he forgets I'd need to travel all the way to far off.... Maine to see one? A moose that is, not an ass.

When Mitt was in Massachusetts he mostly hunted cock and other small varmints.

HAHAHA...her speech was pretty good. Going back to the theme of democrats being cry baby whiners and constantly giving away elections ...she just gave the perfect counterattack to the swift boaters on Kerry. Why are Democrats so worthless? I don't trust her anymore because I know she is doing cartwheels for the Israeli lobby but I can certainly understand her appeal.

“There is only one man in this election who has ever really fought for you, in places where winning means survival and defeat means death, and that man is John McCain.”

Seriously, the "only candidate who knows how to dress a moose", said Fred Thompson.

WTF!! I mean, the only countries that would hold any weight are the Scandanavian countries. Do you really think ANY OTHER world leader is stroking their chin and saying to themselves, "Well, I'm impressed! She can dress a moose!"

The leaders of countries in Africa dealing with starvation and such are going, "What's a moose!?!"

Effing pitiful that this is what is trumpeted as leadership qualities!

Moose hunting? Impressive to people in Massachusetts? Fly fishing and deer hunting, maybe ... but MOOSE??

I believe Mitt is confusing Massachusetts with Michigan.

But what would Mitt Romney really know about Massachusetts anyway? His time there was only a springboard to his greater ambitions, to be conveniently discarded (and jeered at) when he moved on to greater things.

Color me as thoroughly unimpressed here in Massachusetts. Even less impressed by her record of quite-far-right social leanings.

Welcome to america, home of freedom and democracy. Where we choose our leaders by looking at what sort of living creatures they have killed. Bonus points for killing brown people.

So easy a caveman could do it.

Amazing double standard. If a Democrat taxes the heck out of a profitable international industry and then hands out federal largess to the poor people in his State, well obviously he's a socialist. (Actually there are few examples of this anymore, but some still exist.)

When the Governor of Alaska taxes the heck out of the oil companies and then cuts every single Alaskan a $1200 tax rebate check from the proceeds, well... well... well... we know she's not a Socialist because she hunts moose.

Those oil checks are hush money, pure and simple... They're a crucial step in the process of getting Alaskans to tell the rest of us, "shut up about ANWR, you don't live here and you're never going to visit it." Dudes, the entire point of a National Reserve is that people don't visit it very often. Belongs to the Nation nonetheless.

i lived in Vermont where hunting moose was considered on the level of shooting a parked car.

I must say that the picture of Palin next to the caribou that she shot will go over well in Montana.

Obama has been here about five times; McCain not even once. Obama may have a chance here, but the dead caribou will help McCain.

That's just the way Montanans are. Even Schweitzer praised the recent Supreme Court decision expanding the meaning of the second amendment. loosely: "In Montana we think gun control means hitting what you are aiming at."

On the other hand, you will never hear "as Montana goes, so goes the nation."

Jon Stewart hit it on the head with this: "9/3/2008: Sarah Palin Gender Card". Rove, O'Reilly, Morris, Fox, what huge douchebags. They have a song and dance for everything. Man, they are a waste of media, air, and time.

hahahaha...you democrats who complain are hilarious!!! This is what you believe in! Don't you get it? You believe in this...it is just when it works against you (which it always does in one form or another) you complain about it. The real reason the government gives money to people every year in Alaska, rather than taking it from them, is not for hush money...it is to get people to move there...to develop it...to get more fuel and natural resources...they (the government) ...need as many of us plebes as it can get in Alaska...so they offer us incentives to go there. This is what happens when you believe in centralized power...you like the idea of centralized power because you think...hey...if I could get my kind of person in power I could shove my views and agendas down people like goldhorder's throats and get them to pay for all my wonderful utopian ideas. But the wealthy can afford better better advertisement than you can...they will always be the ones in power in our "centralized democracy". It will be their needs that are served...not yours...for always...or until we go bankrupt because they are greedy evil lunatics. Whom you support with your belief in this system of government they created.

What's so impressive about hunting moose in Massachusetts. Some years back a woman hit one in her car in god damned Reading. That's right off of 128. It was probably coming out of an office park.
