TCR, have you forgotten? "Deficits don't matter."
With the polarization of politics as it is; if between now and November a prominent member of the Democratic Party says 'A vote for me is a vote for solvency' they will win the election majority in cross-over fiscal conservatives. They are the only Independent group upset enough to vote en mass for either party in the upcoming election. Just my take.
rbennington, amusing thought and very apropos for another failed political promise. You see, debt creation has gone parabolic and is beyond any hope of solvency in the sense of "let's work off this debt." Face it, the Asians own us and we are doing their bidding.
That is great, in an awful sort of way. Let's fashion a "1" out of duct tape!
I think that Ted Stevens has a bridge or two he can sell.
How about giving our debtors Hawaii or Alaska after we mess it up. What's the value of each of those?
