“I’ll Carry The Radio Next Time"

For a harrowing account of how thousands of U.S. troops have been -- and will continue to be, assuming the present "course" -- killed and wounded, read this.

Twelve more dead in the first four days of November....

My Republican friends call them evil and terrorists. Saying that they are murderously evil people who hate America.

If Texas fell to Mexico and the US government was unable to expel Mexican forces, snipers would be picking off those 'wetbacks' the same way.

Occupying nations are always unwelcome. They tend to unite groups who never would have reason to. You are seeing that in Iraq.

Americans cry that they are using unfare tactics and crude technics. Sorry but they don't have cruise missiles to fire at us from off-shore or planes to fly overhead to drop bombs.

Take heed, though. Some are trying to catch up to the US by building nuclear bombs and missiles to deliver them. I guess when it becomes tit-for-tat Americans will be 'happy' that it's a more conventional war.

All the while China sits and waits.

"Uncommon valor was a common virtue"

Our snipers are better and they will find you and send copper jacketed death in your direction.

"Most of the time, the marines said, the snipers aim for their heads, necks and armpits, displaying knowledge of gaps in their protective gear."

Any guesses how many of these snipers were probably trained by the US over the last 3 years? We seem to inadvertently be strengthening the insurgency - how many of the new Iraqi Army soldiers spend their off duty time shooting at Americans?

And let's not forget the North Koreans, who have just tested out their nuclear weapons, also sitting and waiting, and have been hating America's guts for decades...

It is a pity that the government took that approach but you know that guns have to sell and war is the best way to do it.
