Friday, Noon, 1150 Seventeenth Street in DC

Steve Clemons has the details. If I lived near DC, I'd be there. If readers learn of any future events in the New York City area, please let me know.

Take the metroliner down to DC on Jan 27th for the UFPJ event. (They organized the one in NYC on 2/15/03, if you remember that one. It was huge - I was there, though it didn't get much press coverage.)

Events in NYC will do no good at this point. Only mass demonstrations in view of Congress will do anything now. Bush doesn't give a shit what any of us think. We have to rely on Congress to try to stop this madness.

The only way to stop him is to remove him from office. And only Congress can help us do that. First impeach Bush and then impeach Cheney.

It's up to us, the citizens, now. Show Congress we're behind this. Show them that they will not get re-elected if they don't act.

I emailed him. I got this message after submitting the email:

"Thank you for your email. It is my goal to reply in a timely fashion, via regular mail, to every email that I directly receive from a fellow Virginian. I appreciate your views and look forward to responding to you."

I don't live in Virginia, so I guess I can't count on a response.
