Actually Lehman Bros. is being lectured. Not "we".
No help for Lehman's yet, but surprise Merrill Lynch is being bought by Bank of America.
Bank of America sure has been on a buying spree.
Where's white haired Peter Lynch, who came out during a financial crisis in the 90's and said "don't worry, be happy." Is there any representative from WS coming out this time and saying, stick with us, everything is fine? I keep hearing the worse is probably yet to come, but basically nobody can figure it out. So much for accounting standards.
I would have said, "It depends on whether a Republican or a Democrat wins the election."
All Republicans are financially irresponsible. Democrats at least take balancing the budget seriously, even if they can't pull it off.
