Coulter Award Nominee....

Over at The Corner, NRO's Rich Lowry writes:
I've been wondering lately why some enterprising conservatives and college Republicans in Washington don't go picket the Syrian embassy--this is a government that is complicit in an insurgency that is killing Americans every day. Doesn't it seem a natural for the ire of some activists?
It's interesting to see how the "activist" jones manifests itself in some conservatives, isn't it? If in doubt, see #8 on this list. La plus ca change....

Rich seem to suffer from a different version of the Napoleon complex: the ability to look at a map or a globe in the comfort of one's living room, stare at those thin, clean, seemingly orderly lines that divide nations, and draw unwarranted and dangerous conclusions. But we don't need to get into a discussion of how hard it is to seal a border, particularly in that part of the world. If it was easy the Minutemen never would have happened, we'd have caught Bin Laden already, and we would be having far more difficulty infiltrating Iran with advance teams right now.

Instead of wasting time calling for a picket of the Syrian embassy, why doesn't Rich call for the organization of an Iraqi version of the Minutemen? Or is that what our military should be doing, had we enough troops?

And if Syria is the root of our problems, how does Rich explain this?

A little advice for any "enterprising conservatives" or "college Republicans" preparing picket signs: you won't find any answers on a map in your living room, or on the Wyoming Avenue pavement in front of the Syrian embassy.

Or Cheney, "I had other priorities" in reference to the Vietnam war service.

I wish I could remember the program, but it was just this past week when someone was describing the "young republican" ideologues that had major power in the Occupational Authority in Iraq. It really bugged the Iraqi leaders. Their culture respects age and wisdom, and they were angered at these very young idealistic, patronizing "young rep" telling them how the middle east works. It got to one point, where an Iraqi elderly asked the "young rep" if he had read a particular book on the subject. The "young rep" gleamed and said yes. Where the Iraqi elder said you must then be determined to repeat everyone one of those mistakes again. So it is interesting that this topic is coming up again.

Yes, some of those potential picketers should enlist. They are needed NOW to guard that Syrian border.

That's a damn good line about the Napoleon complex. Are you citing anything in particular or just coming up yourself with exactly the right words?

They are too busy stapling flyers.

Here's what college republicans, at their College Republican National Convention, think of our kids serving:

"They're giving their lives as you're giving your time."

My oh my, they equate their time at home with our kids lives lost in Iraq. How thoughtful and fair of them; I think we're growing the next Karl Rove and Dick Cheney here.

There was an interesting show on last night that interviewed teachers at rural schools, and they all believe we have an economic draft. They asked several kids why did they join, and it was, I couldn't afford school, to pay the bills, to not be a burden on my family...

I have been following a site now for almost 2 years and I have found it to be both reliable and profitable. They post daily and their stock trades have been beating

Take a look at Wallstreetwinnersonline.com
