If At First You Don't Succeed....

The face of shamelessness.

See water-carrier's buckets overflow. Watch her come back with bigger buckets.

Of course the fact that we had complete satellite coverage and special forces teams in that area and did not find them is an inconvenient fact.

Do you think that if the administration told her she was tying her shoes wrong she would ask them how to do it "right?"

I pretty much skip the K-Lo stuff. In fact, I used to read The Corner just to see what the other side was thinking - but I realized they don't actually think that much!

A bit off-topic, but someone else is pimping the idea that the laguage the administration uses is important.

"It sort of fits in with this administration's use of language to advance its agenda."

I have to agree with the poster above, that the NR is such a complete joke now, it really is not worth anyone's time read it, or to read any links to the site. Suffice it to say, the theme of the story, i.e. that Iraq was able to "spirit[ed]" out (when was it ever possible to "spirit" anything out of Iraq?)its chemical weapons to Syria, is a complete fucking fantasy, made up from nothing. The same type of nothingness that passes for govenment in Washington.

Ok, not to beat a dead horse, or anything, but as an addendum to my comment above, I offer this choice quote from the following story http://www.tnr.com/doc.mhtml?i=20051017&s=hacks101705 (u may have to register to read it, but its worth it ) which further highlights the nothingness of the Bush admin:
“As deputy press secretary at the White House, Claire Buchan gained a reputation as a kept-in-the-dark spokesbot who was often relegated to baby-sitting reporters on long trips……. One White House reporter who worked closely with Buchan for five years called her "the most useless in a Bush universe of enforced uselessness. She took empty banality to a new low." "

Didn't Bush just say this past week it wasn't WMD? Didn't Wolfowitz say WMD was a matter of emphasis, what would work. Clinton signed the "Iraq Liberation Act"; what is so odd is, why did Bush and this admin feel so compelled to push the WMD agenda. Why wasn't human rights enough to begin with, and why the attack on Peace groups who would have supported the truth and human rights. And is this why Tom Friedman, kept saying we got here wrong, but the right thing to do. Maybe both Democrats and Republicans wanted the same thing, but Bush wanted it now, so he could get political credit, like Reagan with Russia (which is BS). It isn't a matter of "what", but "how" to get the job done right. I was going to add with the least amount of damage, but we already know from Condi that isn't an issue with this administration. Somehow I think the war in Iraq is antithesis to the fight against terrorism ultimately, but they are using them, manipulating them, as needed, to justify specific actions in the other.

Everything is for sale, even the truth :-( Values and scruples appear to be for sale.

And it seems anyone will write anything.

This libertarian, Cato Institute fellow and Copley News Service columnist, wrote 24 articles at the request of Jack Abramoff. I always wondered what the Swift Boaters got.

"A senior fellow at the Cato Institute resigned from the libertarian think tank on Dec. 15 after admitting that he had accepted payments from indicted Washington lobbyist Jack Abramoff for writing op-ed articles favorable to the positions of some of Abramoff's clients."
