"Wide-Eyed Tourists"

A few posts ago, I noted the now-boilerplate pattern of initial hype about a supposed terrorist threat, followed by quiet reality a few days, weeks, or months later. The pattern holds.

When those stories broke last week, they were plastered all over the media and trumpeted breathlessly by the usual suspects. I'm glad the cops were proactive and on the case. Unless I've missed something, however, the reality is too inconvenient to warrant even a mention by the hysterical set.

However, I would also have to add that a major arab businessman who runs a chain of restaurants around here was recently also busted for sending money to "hezbollah" before this whole thing took place. From what I understand, they are a party who has 12 members in the Lebenese parlaiment after the Cedar Revolution (which BushCo heralded as a voice of democracy since it resulted in tossing out the Syrians), and is not just simply a "terrorist" organization. According to the majority of new coverage however, they are simply a military group. But they don't toe the line in terms of the "Bush Doctrine."

I don't know what the fuck to believe anymore, but I have to tell you I don't buy the line that Arabs "hate our freedom." That is total bullshit.

From now until the election, it's going to be non-stop terrorists/threats, doomsday scenerios in the Middle-east if we are to "cut and run," and endless cabals of "evil-doers" being rounded up and jailed. And the voting will be rigged, again.

Let's hope the Democrats sprout some balls and take this administration OUT.

The democrats will sprout balls once their constituency does. There is absolutely nothing wrong with us writing our representatives and telling them what is on our mind. That is how other groups accomplish their agendas.

It's sad to read posts from bloggers who think the elections are going to change anything. Borrowing money from the Asians at the rate of $2 billion per day and beholden to Israel, we are mere puppets to globalization. You want to make a difference this November? Quit spending. That will catch their attention.
