When I was in college fifteen years ago, at a pretty conservative school down south, I remember rolling my eyes at English professors going on and on about postmodernism and the construction of narrative and crap like that - and if you'd told me then that the Republicans would be the ones putting postmodern theory into practice in contemporary politics, I'd've burned you for witchcraft.

Shows what I know.

Roger Ailes has been a television production assistant and producer, has worked in executive and managerial positions in communications, and has signed on as a political consultant to Republican and quasi-Republican (Ross Perot) political campaigns. He is obviously a successful businessman. But he has never been a journalist, does not have a jounalist's training and instinct for fact-seeking, fact-checking, or just plain facts. His opinions on journalism are obviously biased and not credible. Sadly, you cannot say the same for Chris Wallace, who should be ashamed of himself for allowing his journalistic credentials to be used by such an obviously biased organization as Fox News.
