He said that we're sending 52-year-old soldiers to die in Iraq. He didn't say that 52-year-old soldiers are also dying in Afghanistan:

Slain soldier the oldest female casualty, according to Defense Department
An Army reservist from Alameda has been killed in Kabul, Afghanistan, the Defense Department said.
Sgt. 1st Class Merideth Howard, 52, died Friday when a bomb exploded near her Humvee while she was on patrol. Another soldier, Staff Sgt. Robert Paul, 43, of Oregon, was also killed.
