Telling Us What We Already Knew
....or in this case, had reasonably estimated:
On Iran, (National Intelligence Director) McConnell said that the regime could develop a nuclear weapon early in the next decade, but it will more likely take the country's scientists until 2015. But it's not clear whether the country will have a delivery system at the same time. That sound you hear is teeth grinding in the West Wing.

This post is a good complement to the Personal Intelligence Agency alerts. Let's hope McConnell and others will continue to make their voices heard.
Please, what does the White House care? They're gone in two years and want to pass the mess off to someone else.
Rickey, I think Bush wants to "run the clock out" so that the next Prez has to deal with Iraq. When we pull out, and we will, he'll blame it on them and their lack of resolve. (Not because he himself was an idiot who squandered 3,000+ American lives, 20,000+ wounded American bodies, left unguarded weapons caches so the insurgents and terrorists could arm themselves for free, and diddled for 3 years when he could have done something other than "stay the course".)
Cheney, on the other hand, is a true believer. He may be trying to figure out one last desperate attempt to re-shape the Middle East and surrounding environs in his image.
Bush will be gone in less than 2 years and somebody else will clean up after his incompetence. Cheney's incompetence and zealotry, though, could well start some new "project" that will be even more difficult to handle. Don't underestimate this man's inability to grasp reality and start trouble.
That sound you hear is teeth grinding in the West Wing.
The Bushbots and the Zionists will just keep repeating the same lies. What's the old saying? A lie repeated often enough becomes true? That must be framed on the wall in Karl Rove's office. (Whatever happened to him? Is he still alive?)
If Cheney's trying to out-Dick Nixon, he's doing a bangup job. One wonders if there will be a stop in Beijing as well? That was a fabulous moment for the Dickster.
If I were McConnell I would start cleaning out my desk.
Doesn't he know that no matter what the Whitehouse asks him the answer "It's a slam dunk!"
He better go back and 'fix' his intelligence.
Cheney's money is in Euro bonds and Halliburton stock. What's he care. I bet his net worth is nearing 200 million by now. And with the legacy he leaves behind Halliburton and the Euro should continue doing well the next 20 years.
Mission Accomplished indeed!!!
