"Some" Like It Hot

Defense Secretary Gates on Iran over the weekend:
"The general view of American intelligence is that they would be in a position to develop a nuclear device probably sometime in the period 2010-2011 or 2014 or 15," he said, adding that some think it could be as early as late next year.
We have a pretty good idea of who "some" are, don't we? And we know what's on the U.S. electoral calendar for "late next year." But rogues and desperados aside, the status quo remains: based on what we know right now (yes, that can change) there can be no justifiable use of military force against Iran during the remainder of Bush's presidency.

Without belaboring the bad actors aka Cheney & Co., this article in the LAT seems, to me, to be a sober assessment of the Iran situation.

Do they really give a damn what reality is? They want to attack Iran even if it sets of a series of actions that will bring down our house of cards.

SICK, SICK!!!

But if they think that the world they enjoy will survive, one must wonder what they are sniffing.

Look, right now our only hope for sanity is impeachment and removal of the entire top tier of the government -- practically impossible to do under our outmoded and broken Constitution.
