"I Discovered Some Things"

A U.S. soldier gets shot in the head with only "friendlies" in the area. By the way, anyone know how the latest Pat Tillman investigation is going?

Surprise, surprise. Someone in a finance unit finds something out and is killed. Gosh I wonder why. Guess the military buries its mistakes.

Poor girl...she should have just asked for a cut and she would have been fine.

Last night I watched "Serpico" for the first time. It is an interesting movie about a man who tries to expose corruption in the NYPD and the price he pays for it. He was also shot in the head. Interesting parallels...

funny...Serpico. I saw that movie and didn't think much of it...after getting out of the military I spent a summer with another veteran friend of mine in Jersey City. His friends were all cops. They made the cops in Serpico look like choir boys. It was an interesting experience though. Every night we went out with them you knew what it felt like to feel like you are "above the law". Always knew when we were outside their Juristiction. They slowed down and started obeying traffic lights.

As Koba was fond of saying, "Death solves all problems. No man [or woman in this sad case], no problem"

The poor Army woman in Afghanistan probably knew nothing to get her killed from her financial duties. Read the Prince of the Marshes to see how finances are handled in Iraq, and I assume Afghanistan.

Give the Army a chance to investigate. Don't expect too much to come from it. And realize that life goes on except for that poor Army woman, of course..
