Bloomberg had an article the other day. Gold has maintained its value in the face of the deflationary credit contraction because the US wealthy have been buying gold...no futures....no etfs...they want possesion of the real thing. Of course most of them weren't public school educated so they learned about real monetary history growing up. Lol....what is the 2009 budget looking like? I've heard 3 trillion in the whole!!!! Quite shocking coming from a nation with no savings! I can't even look at the charts on the st louis fed reserve site anymore. They are just too frightening. The big question is...when the inflation starts will they be able to stop it. Or will all these foreign reserves come flooding back to the us tryi g to buy something before the dollar is worthless. Welcome to fiat currency hell

Finally, all that bullion in my basement is going to be worth something! I can't see the trend reversing, there are no other safe-havens left.
