Kindred Spirit

Courtesy of a reader and as a follow-up to the previous post, here's the link to a wonderful speech Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) recently made before the House. Be sure to read towards the end where he talks about Iran, Venezuela, and the dollar. I've been a fan of his for a long time, and he keeps reminding me why.

Excellent essay. Re-affirms my belief that voting for him when he ran for President (as the Libertarian Party candidate) was a good idea.

Dear Mr. Realist: This is the only republican I have any respect for. Thanks for the link.

This makes a lot of sense. Does Mr. Paul usually vote along the Republican party line?

Ron Paul is an anti-war liberatarian, and the Republican Party would toss him out if there were any such mechanism to do so. He's reasonably well behaved as a voting member, but you can't shut him up with duct tape....
