When It Rains, It Pours....

What's there to say about the Claude Allen debacle? Presumed innocent? Yes. But Byron York got a weekend pass to leave the reservation, and he asks a good question here.

If the charges against Allen hold up, this will be the latest confirmation of what we already know: President Bush is an uncannily poor judge of character. If I ran a large company, the last position I'd trust this "MBA president" in would be Director of Human Resources.

To conservatives, that poor judgment is---or should be---anathema. When the unqualified and the incompetent get appointed to important government positions, eventually a whole lot of money gets thrown at the problems that result. Just two examples: Iraq and Katrina.

Stupid scam. Anyway, this is exactly the problem with this administration. They trust Allen, they trust India, and they trust the United Arab Emirates. I'm not judging India or the United Arab Emirates here or their current leaders. It's just like the "Answering to a higher power" post below. When Bush/the administration believes in something or someone, all caution is thrown out the window. Where is the due diligence in the decision-making?

I would be most interested to know what responsibilities Byron would entrust to this "MBA" President. Certainly not budgeting, and I'm guessing nothing actually critical to production. Corporate governance? Investor relations, perhaps? I suppose I could put him in charge of parking validations - but only if I knew someone else designed and would be monitoring the internal controls. I wouldn't want the headlines to read "Parking Validation Violations Brings Down Company - Program Administrator: "Nobody could have foreseen that bogus validations would bankrupt the company!"

I have been following a site now for almost 2 years and I have found it to be both reliable and profitable. They post daily and their stock trades have been beating
the indexes easily.

Take a look at Wallstreetwinnersonline.com
