They're Clapping As Fast As They Can
After the Dow lost 237 points on Monday, I thought it might be interesting to check the tone of the coverage on CNBC. Right away, I saw this breaking news on the screen: "Alert: Dow +2.3% year-to-date."
Call it the Fox Business Channel effect, I guess.

Finally getting to the last step. Keep 50K troops bunkered in Iraq. Only come out when your puppets are threatened and to defend your oil projects. Twas only a matter of time. We'll see what happens after we pull the majority of our troops out. This is when things will get interesting.
You're just being cynical. Wouldn't it have been better to have seen this headline on 9/12?:
Thousands survive World Trade Center Attacks
Reminds me of our local wx forecaster - "wind gusts of 5 mph"
Can someone tell me the inflation rate for the year?
Inflation...how about the dollar down 40% ...so in any other currency denomination you are down 37%!
"Alert: Dow +2.3% year-to-date."
Reminds me of the old joke about an optimist who falls from the top of a 50 story building. On the way down he says "49! So far, so good. 48! So far, so good. 47! ..."
