A new audiotaped message purported to be from al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden warned Americans that plans for attacks in the United States were already under way.
"We have seen explosions in many European countries. As for similar operations taking place in America, it's only a question of time. They are under way, and you will hear about them soon," said the message, which was aired on Arabic-language network Al-Jazeera Thursday.

I thought we weren't suppose to care about Bin Laden
So I don't know where he is. You know, I just don't spend that much time on him, Kelly, to be honest with you. I'm more worried about making sure that our soldiers are well-supplied; that the strategy is clear; that the coalition is strong; that when we find enemy bunched up like we did in Shahikot Mountains, that the military has all the support it needs to go in and do the job, which they did.

Another terriost attack on American soil would serve Bush's agenda very well. That's enough to make me nervous.
I have a friend who has a girlfriend whose sister's hairdresser's mother knows someone whose friend was a pallbearer at his funeral.
This is at least the third time OBL was reported dead in the past five years. My bet is he IS dead and today is yet another appearance by OBL's Al-CIA-duh ringer.
bin Laden must have more lives than my cat.
I don't suppose anyone has really considered the worst-case Bin Laden scenario: the Iranians capture him and parade him in chains in Teheran before handing him over to the UN or the Saudis.
Anyone else find it maddeningly awkward that this bin-laden stuff isn't seen as a reminder of failure in the "war on terror"?
