Untenable......

Right now, I can't think of a better word to describe this.

On some of the more rabid right wing sites you see comments like "the surge is really just a change in the rules of engagement, now we're really taking the gloves off".

That is pure macho fantasy.

The rules of engagement in Vietnam were pretty loose, lot of good it did there.

meanwhile Bush is sending more of our soldiers into the meat grinder.

bipartisan offering of limbs by politicians who voted for war to soldiers who have lost limbs and need them...coz no wmd and public led to wrongly think iraq had something to do with 911...politicians should pick up the cost for the war too...this will not bring back those who have lost lives though...

When I was in high school during Vietnam, I remember thinking "jeez, is this war ever going to end?"

The other night as I was putting him to bed, my seven year old son said: "daddy, is this war ever going to end?"

The Zionist Neocons who brought us this war ought to hang. Just like 30 years ago, nothing will happen. If we had come down on the war criminals 30 years ago, we wouldn't be in this mess today. I wonder if we will be in a similar mess in another thirty years? It probably will not take as long next time.

In 30 years we will still be winding down from the war in Iran that Bush/Cheney intend to start before they leave office......

George better adjust his surge numbers to 21,521. We'd hate to be undermanned.
