That's why I like staying in mid-range hotels like Holiday Inn or Hampton Inn. You won't have problems with their wrapped plastic cups.
This is what you get when you focus on quantity of work, not quality of work.
Also note which end of the food chain is exposed here: not the suits, rather people who get lousy pay and lots of orders.
I never drink from those glasses. I just call room service and have them bring me additional glasses.
I kill the germs by pouring in a healthy dose of scotch ;-)
I have learned to always be wary of hotel rooms. This reminds me of those news programs going in with a black light to show how stained the sheets are.
On the topic, a word of warning to all: Check under the mattress and box spring for bedbugs. You do NOT want to bring those critters home.
I have a healthy immune system that routinely polishes off mass quantities of staph, e.coli and other bugs on a daily basis. That's why I don't worry about a few microbes that might remain on the glasses after some not-too-meticulous cleaning.
Of course, everyone is welcome to be as paranoid as suits them. I have much bigger threats to worry about, and I wager so does everybody.
