This topic has been discussed for quite awhile on "The Randi Rhodes Show", "The Rachel Maddow Show" and "the Thom Hartman Show" on Air America Radio. A couple of firefighters have called it to talk with Randi about it. Basically they just kept saying that this is a bullshit request of them and that it's NOT THEIR JOB! "I'm in there to do a fire inspection to make sure your house/apt. is safe, not to see what books you have your bookshelf!"
And yes, Judyo, a lot can happen in 11 months. I'm worried about that. I'm also worried about how much or how little the next president will be able to change things.

Umm, last I checked we had the right to "express discontent" with the government. Seems I need to check again. It is a shame that some people do not understand how this country is supposed to work.
