Flashback Friday

With the stock market reeling, oil and gold soaring, and the dollar inspiring global belly laughs, the theme this week is the late 1970's. Some commercials and miscellaneous station promos to take you back to the golden age of Abscam, Studio 54, and CB radio. Open a can of Billy Beer and enjoy. I love, love, love the Mean Joe Green commercial. Still think it is one the all-time best.

Thanks again CR! These really take me back. I especially like the In the News segment on Pres. Carter. can you even imagine a news break like that these days? "Cheney sets up a Comission on War Profiteering" LOL!

I should add that, as a 7 year old, I really wanted to visit the Poconos and "Beautiful Mount Airy Lodge"! So many jingles from that time are stuck in my head for ever.

Yeah, thanks for the Mean Joe Greene ad - I was just describing it to my 8-year old yesterday, and remembering what a perfect little moment it creates.
